What differentiates Control Union Dnjestr from other certification bodies?

Control Union offers you a one-stop-shop service for a wide range of certification programmes. Our certificates are accepted by authorities in nearly every country.

• Control Union is active in the Republic of Moldova for years auditing and certifying according international organic standards, such as EU, NOP and JAS
• Control Union is listed by the European Union as a certification body providing equivalent guarantees which enables exporters in Moldova to export products as organic to the European Union (Reg. 1235/2008)
• On top of that, Control Union Dnjestr is accredited in Moldova by MOLDAC to carry out audits and certifications according local organic standards (Moldac accreditation number: OC-prec005).

Control Union Dnjestr is able to audit your operation by one visit for all major international organic standards as well as for local Moldavian organic standards. This enables your products to be exported to any country and approved by foreign authorities as organic as well as be sold as organic within Moldova. With your Control Union certificate issued according local Moldavian standards, you can apply for subsidies in Moldova according Decision no. 455 of 21.06.2017.

Certification in practice

In practice the following phases have to be completed before certification is achieved:

Information and contract phase:

1. If you wish to apply for any certification programme, please fill in the application form and return the completed form to CU Dnjestr. The application form can be downloaded from our website or we can send you.
2. CU will make an offer for one year and send it to you, together with the Terms of Contract.
3. When you accept the offer, you return a signed copy of the offer letter to CU Dnjestr. You have now entered into an agreement with CU Dnjestr to join a certification programme.

Inspection and certification phase:

4. After CU Dnjestr has received the invoiced fee, it shall plan the first inspection visit in close communication with you. The inspector reports the findings in writing. This information will be treated strictly confidential.
5. After all the necessary inspections have been fulfilled, CU will decide whether any follow up actions needed or not (closing of any open non-compliances).
6. In case there are no open non-compliances or all are closed and all conditions for certification are fulfilled, CU will grant certification.
7. Each year following the official certification, CU will perform inspections to determine whether the requirements for certification are still met. Every year is evaluated whether the previously issued certifi­cate can be continued, has to be amended, or withdrawn.
